16/07/2015 (Agence Europe) - EU criticises installation of demarcation signs along administrative boundary line of South Ossetia. “The EU reaffirms its full support for Georgia's territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders”, said the spokesperson for High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini on Wednesday 15 July. The spokesperson stated that the installation of signposts along the administrative boundary line of Georgia's breakaway region of South Ossetia has led to “tension” in the area with “potentially negative effects on the local population”. The EU and its civilian monitoring mission (EUMM) are following the situation closely. (MB)
