04/12/2013 (Agence Europe) - EP vote postponed on single resolution mechanism. Initially scheduled for this Thursday, the vote at the European Parliament's economic and monetary affairs committee on the draft Ferreira report on the single bank resolution mechanism (SRM) has been postponed until Tuesday 17 December (see EUROPE 10975). The MEPs want more time to see how the inter-institutional negotiations on the draft BRRD directive to harmonise national bank resolution schemes develop and the latter talks may be concluded in Strasbourg on Wednesday 18 December. The EP's political groupings also need more time to draw up compromise amendments. (MB/transl.fl)
