27/01/2012 (Agence Europe) - Relocation of GSA to Prague agreed. In the middle of the year the European GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) Agency (GSA) will leave Brussels and take up office in Prague, Czech Republic. The GSA plays an important role in the present and future management of Galileo and EGNOS, which offer satellite navigation services in Europe. European Industry Commissioner Antonio Tajani opened the ceremony, attended also by Czech Prime Minister Petr Necas, formalising the partnership. The agreement was signed by Czech Transport Minister Pavel Dobes and GSA Executive Director Carlos des Dorides. The Commissioner will on Tuesday of next week announce the winners of the call for tender for the next Galileo satellites and launch services. (MD/transl.rt)
