Brussels, 25/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - The Commission was right to call the regular meetings of Austrian banks, the so-called “Lombard Club”, a cartel. This was the verdict reached by the Court of Justice of the European Communities in a judgement on Thursday 24 September confirming the Court of First Instance's earlier judgement on the same case. The Court's judgement rejects all the appeals put forward by the banks, deeming them inadmissible (Case C-125/07 P).
