Brussels, 24/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - Following the political agreement reached by agriculture ministers on 22 June, the EU Council of Ministers, on Thursday 24 September, adopted, without debate, a regulation improving farmed animal welfare at the time of their slaughter. The Dutch, Estonian and Romanian delegations abstained.
