Formal adoption of directive limiting harmful emissions from petrol vapour at service stations

Brussels, 24/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European directive that will decrease harmful emissions from petrol vapour at service stations in the European Union has been adopted. On Thursday 24 September, the Council formally adopted this legislative act at first reading, making it an obligation for service stations to recover at least 85% of the gases that escape when refuelling vehicles.
