14/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - According to estimates published on Monday 14 September by Eurostat, in July 2009 compared with June 2009, seasonally adjusted industrial production fell by 0.3% in the euro area and by 0.2% in the EU27. In June production decreased by 0.2% and 0.1% respectively. In July 2009 compared with July 2008, industrial production declined by 15.9% in the euro area and by 14.7% in the EU27. In monthly terms, the largest decreases were registered in Estonia (-27.9%), Finland (-24.2%), Slovenia (-20.4%) and Luxembourg (-19.9%), and the smallest in Romania (-4.5%), Poland (-4.6%), the Netherlands (-8.0%) and Portugal (-8.3%).
