Jury chooses Umeå as European capital of culture in 2014

Brussels, 09/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 7 September in Stockholm, the panel responsible for selecting the European Capital of Culture for 2014 recommended that the title be awarded to Umeå rather than the other Swedish city in contention, Lund.
