Industry reactions to planned revision of regulation on car sector competition

Brussels, 23/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - Revision of Community regulation on competition in the car sector, announced by the Commission on Wednesday 22 July (EUROPE 9946) has been welcomed by the industry. After-sales service providers hope to see a further exemption applied to their sub-sector as soon as the current one expires. Car manufacturers, on the other hand, do not want new legislation to go further than the provisions currently in force.
