23/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - Seven MEPs will play an observer role as the new legislative elections in Moldova unfold on 29 July (after results of the ballot on 5 April were massively contested). The EP monitoring mission will be headed by Romanian MEP Marian-Jean Marinescu (EPP). The other members are: Andrzej Grzyb (EPP), Cristian Dan Preda (EPP), Zigmantas Balèytis (S&D), Kristian Vigenin (S&D), Renate Weber (aLDE) and Tatjana Zdanoka (Greens/EFA). (H.B./transl.jl)
