Solidarity Fund to make major contribution to help earthquake-hit Region of Abruzzo

Brussels, 23/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Pawe³ Samecki, confirmed on Thursday 23 July that the European Commission has proposed to give aid of 493.7 million euros to Italy, further to the damage caused in April by the earthquake in the region of Abruzzo.
