Brussels, 16/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Union has severely condemned the assassination, on 15 July, of Natalia Estemirova, a prominent Russian human rights activist from the NGO, Memorial, which is particularly involved in Chechnya. Ms Estemirova was abducted by unknown individuals on Wednesday in Grozny. Her body was found hours later in neighbouring Ingushetia.
