Brussels, 15/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - Ahead of the European Development Days on 22-24 October 2009 in Stockholm, EuropeAid, the European Commission Development Office, has invited young Europeans to take part in the “Music against Poverty” contest. Young EU nationals between the ages of 15 and 30 are invited to submit a song they have written on the importance of tackling poverty in the world, via internet (Music against poverty contest: http: //http://www.ifightpoverty.eu/index_en.htm and Facebook group Music against poverty: http://www.facebook.com/home.php? #/group.php?gid=119017694618) before 31 August. Voting to find the favourite songs will take place online until 09/09/09 at 09: 09. The winners will get a professional recording of their song and will have the opportunity to perform in Stockholm during the European Development Days 2009 to be attended by 4,000 members of the development community from 125 countries.
