07/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission decided on Tuesday 7 July to authorise the extension, until 31 December 2009, of the Dutch guarantee scheme for credit institutions (see EUROPE 9774), including a number of amendments to the scheme. The most important amendment was the extension of the maximum maturity of a guarantee to 5 years (compared with 3 years previously). (O.L./transl.rt)
