Gazprom confirms Kiev has paid gas for June

Brussels, 07/07/2009 (Agence Europe) - Russian gas company Gazprom confirmed on Tuesday 7 July that Ukraine had paid for its gas supplies for the month of June. “The European Commission notes that Naftogas yesterday transferred the monthly payment for gas to Gazprom. As regards the medium term, the Commission continues to work with the International Financial Institutions, Ukraine and Russia to provide a sustainable solution for payments.
