Brussels, 12/05/2009 (Agence Europe) - As from 2011, all wood and wood products from the Republic of Congo that enter the EU will be subject to authorisation that guarantees they contain wood that is legally harvested and sold. This is the result of a new agreement between the European Union and the government of the Republic of Congo (Congo Brazzaville) in view of fighting illegal tree felling and deforestation in the Congo.
