EP votes in favour of reducing use of animals in scientific experiments

Brussels, 05/05/2009 (Agence Europe) -Around 12 million animals are used for scientific research in the EU every year and according to the European Parliament's vote in a first reading on Tuesday 5 May in Strasbourg, this number should be reduced to a minimum but by avoiding any negative impact on medical progress.
