Brussels, 17/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - In the construction sector, seasonally adjusted production fell by 1.8% in the euro area and by 1.6% in the EU27 in February 2009, compared to the previous month. In January, production rose by 1.6% and 1.7% respectively. Compared with February 2008, output in February 2009 dropped by 11.8% in the euro area and by 11.2% in the EU27. These first estimates were released by
Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities.
