14/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 14 April, the European Commission decided to take Poland and the Czech Republic to the European Court of Justice for partial implementation of directive 2005/89/EC on electricity supply security. In a press release the Commission explained, however, that the Czech Republic was working on a new draft law transposing the directive which should be adopted by the Senate. The Commission will examine this draft law after its adoption and will take appropriate measures provided that its notification from Prague is complete. (E.H./transl.rh)
