Brussels, 08/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's committee on the environment and public health unanimously adopted, on Tuesday 31 March, the report by Amalia Sartori (EPP, Italy) which calls for drastic measures to be taken to reduce care-related infections. The report, which is still to be examined in plenary, suggests strengthening the text of Council recommendations on the safety of patients, presented by the Commission at the end of last year.
