Louis Michel announces a further €7.5 million for post-cyclone assistance

Brussels, 19/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to make a further €7.5 million available for Cuba to help the island overcome the effects of the repeated hurricanes there. Louis Michel, European Development and Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, announced the news in La Havana where he is to attend the opening of a development cooperation conference on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 March between the European Commission and Cuba (EUROPE 9862).
