Pervenche Berès concerned at lack of Commission ambition with regard to European supervision system reform

Brussels, 18/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - Pervenche Berès (PES, France) declared on Monday 16 March that, “José Manuel Barroso should fight” to defend the Larosière group report on revising the European supervision system “instead of allowing it to be undone in two minutes”. She illustrated how in the following examples: by launching a consultation on recommendations from the Larosière group, the Commission has pushed back concrete proposals till the end of May on the time announced...
