G20 countries committed to restoring growth and strengthening global financial system

Brussels, 16/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - During their preparatory meeting for the April 2 summit, finance ministers and central bank governors from G20 countries agreed on strengthening the resources of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In a press release adopted on 14 March participants recognised, “the urgent need to increase IMF measures very substantially”.
