Consultation exercise on financial supervision

Brussels, 11/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has launched a public consultation exercise until 10 April on reform of the European financial supervision system. Consultation is based on recommendations set out in the “de Larosière” report (see EUROPE 9848), which mainly calls for: - the creation of an early warning system on macro-prudential issues; - and strengthened micro-prudential supervision of (crossborder) financial institutions by combining stricter control at...
