11/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 10 March, the European Commission authorised the proposed joint acquisition of Thales by Dassault Aviation and TSA (all French companies). After the examination, the Commission concluded that the operation would not impede effective competition in the European Economic Area or in any substantial part of it. On Wednesday 11 March, it also gave the go-ahead to the proposed concentration for E.D.F. International company (France, controlled by Electricité de France SA) and Energy Baden-Württemberg AG (Germany) control of Elektownia “Rubnik” S.A. (Poland) though a purchase of shares. It also approved the proposed concentration involving E.D.F. International and Energy Baden-Württemberg AG and its joint control of Zespol Elektrocieplowni Wroclawskich Kogeneracja S.A. of Poland.
