27/02/2009 (Agence Europe) - The Institute for Strategic and International Studies (IEEI) and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation are holding a symposium on “crisis and globalisation”, in Lisbon on 27 March. The event will also see the launch of “Europe, Globalisation and the Lisbon Agenda”, a book co-written by Maria João Rodrigues, Professor of European Economic Policies at the Université libre de Bruxelles and Special Adviser on the Lisbon Strategy for Growth and Jobs, Iain Begg, Jos Berghman, Robert Boyer, Benjamin Coriat, Wolfgang Drechsler, Janine Goetschy, Bengt-Ake Lundvall, Pier Carlo Padoan, Luc Soete, Mario Telo and Adam Török. In their book, the authors explore new developments in the European agenda for globalisation, their adaptation to national diversity, their implications for the external action of the EU and for EU governance, including the Lisbon Treaty.
