Brussels, 03/02/2009 (Agence Europe) - In its recently published annual Global Employment Trends (GET) report for 2009, the International Labour Office (ILO) says that, compared to 2007, the number of unemployed could increase within a range of 18-30 million worldwide, and more than 50 million if the situation continues to deteriorate. In this last scenario, the report states, some 200 million workers, mostly in developing economies, could be pushed into extreme poverty.
