23/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - At a meeting of the EU's anti-dumping committee on 15 January 2009, EU biodiesel producers, represented by the European Biodiesel Board (EBB), again called for anti-dumping rights to be levied on US B99 biodiesel, the exports of which to the EU increased by more than 140% in 2008. The European Commission opened an investigation into the matter in June 2008 but refused to give any details at the 15 January meeting, stating that the matter was confidential and details would not be forthcoming until the final decision was published.
