Brussels, 21/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the EU said that it was “very worried” by the murder of the specialist human rights lawyer, Stanislav Markelov, and journalist, Anastassia Babourova, both killed on 20 January in broad daylight in a busy street in Moscow. Mr Markelov was representing the interests of a Chechen family whose daughter had been kidnapped, raped and killed in 2000 by Russian soldiers and their Colonel Yuri Budanov.
