EU and Russia reach agreement on monitoring mission - Gas deliveries could resume in three days

Brussels, 09/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - After talks failed on resuming Russian gas deliveries to Ukraine, the EU and Russia came to an agreement on Thursday evening on conditions for sending a monitoring task force to monitor the flow of Russian natural gas via Ukraine, thus opening up the road to resumption of gas deliveries to Europe, broken off since Wednesday.
