15/12/2008 (Agence Europe) - In a concern to improve state aid control procedures, the Commission announced, on 11 December, a consultation exercise on a draft best practice code . It above all suggests that the following arrangements should be set in place: - pre-notification contacts, mutually agreed planning for the most difficult cases and a stricter enforcement of existing procedural rules. Parties interested are invited to submit their comments on the draft by 28 January 2009 to: European Commission, DG COMP, State Aid Registry, 1049 Brussels, or via email to Stateaidgreffe@ec.europa.eu.
