Unannounced inspections of pharmaceutical companies

Brussels, 26/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission confirmed on Tuesday 25 November that it had carried out a number of unannounced inspections at the premises of a number of pharmaceutical companies suspected of restrictive trade practices. According to the Reuters news agency, the French company Servier and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd of Israel had confirmed that their respective premises in the United Kingdom had been inspected by Commission officials.
