24/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - On 21 November, the Council of Ministers of the EU adopted without debate, a decision to mobilise the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Italy, to the tune of €35.2 million. This decision is in response to redundancies in the textile sector, following relocation to a third country. €11 million will go to Sardinia, 8.0 million to Piedmont, 12.5 to Lombardy and 3.9 to Tuscany.
