THE DAY IN POLITICS / (eu) ep/sakharov prize

16/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - At its meeting on Thursday 16 October, the Conference of the Presidents of the political groups in the European Parliament decided to postpone for one week the selection of the next winner of the Sakharov Prize to allow the political groups more time. The winner will be chosen in Strasbourg next Thursday. (O.J./transl.rt)
