25/09/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 23 September, the European Parliament adopted the report by David Hammerstein (Greens/EFA, Spain) on the activity of the petitions committee for 2007 by an overwhelming majority (603 votes to 17, with 25 abstentions). The report suggests changing the name from petitions committee to the citizens' petitions committee.
