Brussels, 25/09/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 24 September, in Brussels, the European Anti-fraud Office (OLAF) and the European Union Judicial Cooperation Body, EUROJUST, concluded an agreement intended to strengthen cooperation in the fight against financial fraud. “The practical agreement covers arrangements regarding co-operation between Eurojust and OLAF in order to fight fraud, corruption or any other criminal offence affecting the European Community's financial interests”, a press release states. The practical agreement governs both modalities for closer and increased cooperation and provisions for the exchange of general and personal data. (B.C./transl.jl)
