The European cruise market is expected to reach a new record year in 2008, despite the discouraging economic atmosphere. The director of the European Cruise Council marketing association and president of the British Passenger Shipping Association, William Gibbons, highlighted the “strong growth” in a number of major countries - Germany, Spain and Italy - for cruises.
