01/08/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is to send an Election Observation Mission to the legislative elections in Rwanda scheduled to take place on 15 - 18 September 2008, the European Commission announced on 1 August. The Mission, which will have some 50 observers will be led by British MEP Michael Cashman (PES). The EU has made available some €1.8 million from the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR), for this mission. (H.R./transl.rt)
