Multilateral agreement depends on G-7 compromise on figures for six agricultural chapters and three NAMA chapters

Geneva, 25/07/2008 (Agence Europe) - At the time of going to press, the ministers of the seven major world trading powers - Australia, Brazil, China, United States, India, Japan and the EU - had met under the leadership of WTO Director General Pascal Lamy in Geneva on Friday 25 July to seek to reconcile their positions on nine key chapters of the “horizontal process” linking the agricultural chapter to that on industrial goods (NAMA) in the Doha talks.
