Brussels, 15/07/2008 (Agence Europe) - On 18 July, the European Commission is expected to propose making €1 billion available from the Community budget for agriculture in developing countries to help the latter attenuate the impact of the food crisis that hits them head on. The €1 billion would mainly be made up of export refunds not used in the common agricultural policy (CAP) budget, at the rate of €750 million for 2008 and €250 million for 2009.
