Brussels, 04/07/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 4 July in Brussels, the EU and Russia began talks with a view to concluding a new strategic partnership agreement to replace the current partnership and cooperation agreement (PCA) in force since 1997. The political go-ahead to launching talks had been given at the Khanty-Mansiisk summit on 27 June (EUROPE 9692).
