15/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - In a press release published on Tuesday 13 May, the European Investment Bank disclosed that together with the European Commission in Kenya, it had pledged a total of €7,000 as a contribution towards humanitarian assistance to the thousands of Kenyans who were forced from their homes in the post-election violence. The donation will be provided to the Kenyan Red Cross for the provision of basic humanitarian needs (water, food, medical supplies) to the 140,000 Kenyans who are living in tented camps around the country.
