14/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - Slovakian President Ivan Gasparovic signed the Lisbon Treaty on 12 May, thus finally completing the ratification process by Slovakia. So far, parliaments of 13 countries have approved the new treaty: Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Hungary, Malta, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. In the meantime, the “yes” vote on the treaty recommended by the Irish government for the referendum in Ireland on 12 June has gone up by 3 points to 38% compared to 28% for the “no” vote, according to the results of a poll published on 11 May.
