14/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - Speaking to the press in Paris on Tuesday 13 May, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner presented the (already known) priorities of the French Presidency in the second half of 2008: energy security and climate change, European defence, the future of the CAP, immigration. Paris wants to “persuade without imposing” and to be a “facilitator then speaker for all 27 countries, and not try to pull the Presidency towards us, towards France,” Kouchner said, and he also wants the French people and civil society to be involved in the Presidency.
