30/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - Contrary to what we announced (EUROPE 9648), the “Rome I” regulation, which was on the agenda for adoption at the Justice and Home Affairs Council of 18 April, was not, in fact adopted. The text was withdrawn from the Council agenda on the day as a result of a Latvian linguistic scrutiny reservation. The “Rome I” regulation is now likely to be adopted at the next JHA Council on 5-6 June 2008. (B.C.)
