Brussels, 17/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - As reported in yesterday's edition of EUROPE, N° 9644, the EU and Iraq are very close to reaching an energy partnership agreement. “There are already some extremely concrete elements on the table, and we are set to reach an agreement in a few weeks' time,” said European Commission President José Manuel Barroso after a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki in Brussels on 16 April.
