Brussels, 16/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - After the forest fires that devastated parts of Southern Europe in 2007, a civil protection exercise, simulating the conditions of a Mediterranean forest fire, will take place on Sardinia from 16-18 April. Support will be provided by the EU Monitoring and Information Centre (MIC), the cornerstone of the Community civil protection system.
