Luxembourg, 14/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 14 April, in Luxembourg, France proposed the implementation of a “European food safety initiative” at a time when raw materials are continuously increasing, leading to hunger riots breaking out in many countries. Michel Barnier, the French minister for agriculture submitted this idea to his EU counterparts during the Agriculture Council. France is counting on putting forward these proposals again “before the summer”.
