14/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 14 April, the Council of Ministers of the EU adopted, without debate, a recommendation authorising the European Commission to negotiate guaranteed prices (for delivery periods from 1st July 2008 to 30 June 2009 and 1 July 2009 to 30 September 2009) for sugar cane from India and ACP countries covered by protocol 3 of annex 5 in the EU/ACP partnership agreement.
