07/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner (External Relations) is to visit Tajikistan on Tuesday 8 April to discuss bilateral relations and regional and international issues with members of the government. As well as her talks with President Emomali Rahmon, Foreign Aaffairs Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi, and Minister for Economic Development and Trade Bobozoda Goulomtchou, Ms Ferrero-Waldner will also visit the training centre for the Tajik border forces, which was built and renovated as part of the border management programme for Central Asia (BOMCA). On 9 -10 April, the commissioner will take part in the meeting of the ministerial troika of the EU with the foreign affairs ministers of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan (EUROPE 9636), which is to be held in Achgabat (Turkmenistan).
